Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister and EU Foreign Policy Chief had a telephone conversation on Friday evening.

Iran PressIran News: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohamed Javad Zarif and EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell discussed the latest regional and international developments, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and the fight against the spread of coronavirus in the world.

Meanwhile, the US has circulated a draft UN resolution that would indefinitely extend a UN arms embargo on Iran set to expire in October, US officials and UN diplomats said on Tuesday.

The lifting of UN arms embargoes is part of the JCPOA, which provides for UN Security Council Resolution 2231, which was adopted to end UN Security Council Resolution on October 19.

On May 8, 2018, US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from Iran Nuclear Deal in violation of Washington's commitments under the international agreement and announced the return of sanctions against Tehran.
