Tehran (IP) - Presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkmenistan referred to the friendly and cultural commonalities between the two countries, stressing the need to develop comprehensive relations and cooperation to ensure the interests of the two nations.

Iran Press/Iran News: In a phone conversation on Wednesday, Hassan Rouhani and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow congratulated the holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing the efforts of Tehran and Ashgabat officials to return to the process of economic cooperation as usual and to establish trade exchanges on common borders in full compliance with health guidelines.

Referring to the problems and difficulties caused by the outbreak of coronavirus for most countries in the world, the two sides urged all countries to fight against the virus and stressed the mutual cooperation between the two countries.

Tehran ready to share COVID-19 experiences with Turkmenistan

Iran's President said that the Islamic Republic has achieved good results in the fight against the coronavirus, noting: "Tehran is ready to share its experiences with Turkmenistan."

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, for his part, pointed to Iran's position in trade and economic relations in the region, and highlighted: "Development of relations and cooperation with friendly countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran, is a priority for Turkmenistan."
