Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking at his daily press conference on Tuesday about the latest data on the deadly coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the disease, Kianoush Jahanpour said: "2,089 new patients with COVID-19 have been identified during the past 24 hours."
"According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to April 7 in the country, the number of patients with this disease reached 62589," he added.
"Fortunately, 27,039 patients have recovered and have been discharged so far," he said.
Iran's Ministry of Health Spokesman said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 133 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and a total of 3,872 people have died in the country to date due to the disease."
The official also said that 3,987 patients are in critical condition.
