The new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Qaribi, met with the President of the Republic of Brazil to submit his credentials.

Iran PressIran News: During the meeting with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Brazil, the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, praised Iran's position as a historical country and stressed the need for cooperation between the two countries to strengthen relations, especially in the commercial field.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the Foreign Minister and Secretary-General of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bolsonaro noted the country's efforts to tackle the corona, as well as the severe damage to the economy and the vulnerability of part of society to business closures. With these problems in mind, it is necessary to strengthen economic cooperation to compensate for these damages in the post-Corona period.

Hossein Qaribi, the new ambassador of Iran in Brasilia (the capital of Brazil), referring to the long-standing and friendly relations between the two countries, described the Brazilian economy as the largest in the region and one of the emerging economic powers in the world.

He said, "Dealing with the spread of corona has created an opportunity for more nations and countries to unite and it is necessary that the two governments while continuing medical and health measures, seek measures to deal with economic damage in the post-corona period and Iran and Brazil has a lot of potential in this area that can be well exploited, especially in the private sector of the two countries."

During the meeting, the President of Brazil and the Ambassador of our country also discussed the various aspects of the bilateral relations between Iran and Brazil and the need to strengthen these relations.
