Rouhani held phone calls with three cabinet ministers on coronavirus

Tehran (IP) - The Communications and Information Director of Iranian President's Office Alireza Moezzi detailed the president's separate phone calls over coronavirus with the ministers of oil, interior, and health and medical education.

Iran PressIran News: The Communications and Information Director of the President's Office Alireza Moezzi wrote in his twitter account, that Today, President Rouhani asked Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh to assure citizens there would be no interruption in gasoline supply.”

He added, “President Rouhani also called on Rahmani Fazli the Interior Minister to implement the social-distancing plan without harming the mental security of the community.”

Moezzi added, "The president also in a telephone conversation with Saeed Namaki the Health Minister asked the interior and health ministries to respond to the rumors promptly."

President Hassan Rouhani, in separate talks with the ministers of health, and medical education, oil, and Interior on Friday, discussed the process of implementing new rules on the social-distancing plan.

Details of a national social-distancing plan to counter the Coronavirus outbreak in Iran have been announced yesterday.

Under the initiative, only residents native to a city are allowed in. That means travel is forbidden. Restrictions on rail, air and land travel will remain in place.

On Friday, Iran’s Health Ministry spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour said the coronavirus infections in the country have reached 32,332, and the death toll stands at 2,378.
