Iran PressIran news:The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Health Assistance Unit is training people in Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan Province, northwest of Iran, with more than 300 Basijis (volunteer forces) participating in three-man teams tasked with educating the public about the coronavirus infection, as well as disinfecting roads, town centres, city centres, and public places.

According to Mohammad Hossein Soumi, head of Tabriz University Medical Sciences Department, the number of people with coronavirus in East Azerbaijan has reached 60, and one of the most important ways to reduce infections is education and awareness about how to control the spread of the virus and the ways the virus is transmitted.

According to Alireza Raisi, Iran Deputy Health Minister, 291 COVID-19 patients across the country recovered from the disease.

The Coronavirus outbreak began in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and appears to have been originated from non-domestic animals. Chinese officials now admit that the virus probably spread in Wuhan in November or even earlier.

More than 3,100 people have died and over 93,000 have been infected worldwide. The vast majority of cases are in China.
