Tehran (IP) - Head of Iranian Health Ministry's Public Relations Office said that 123 people of those who had been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country, have been discharged from the hospital.

Iran PressIran news: Addressing the reporters on Saturday, Kianoush Jahanpour said regarding the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases: "The number of suspected cases is much higher than what the laboratory results show."

He added that only 10% to 15% of those are considered to have COVID-19 and in many cases, people are diagnosed with other acute respiratory infections but they are treated as patients with suspected symptoms.

"Some say that there are 50-100 suspected people hospitalized, but some of them have symptoms that are like those of flu and the results of laboratory findings confirm only 10% of cases with COVID-19.

The death toll from the COVID-19 disease, caused by the coronavirus outbreak, in Iran has risen to 43 with 593 confirmed cases.

About 84,000 people in at least 56 countries have been infected all over the world, and about 2,900 people have died of COVID-19.
