Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at a press conference on Thursday 27 February to discuss the latest news of the Coronavirus outbreak in Iran, the Spokesperson of Ministry of Health and Medical Education Kianoush Jahanpour noted that surely there are countries in western and southern Europe as well as southeastern Asia that are more advanced than Iran in health and medicine, yet the number of infected cases in them is higher than Iran.
Jahanpour confirmed that 245 persons have been infected to the Coronavirus or Covid 2019 across Iran, of which 26 persons died.
The Health Ministry Spokesman stressed that the main factor in controlling the coronavirus spread is that people understand the urgency of the situation.
He highlighted if individual self-healthcare practices along with government involving measures continue, the trend of the coronavirus spread will get stable.
All of the public gatherings including concerts and religious gatherings will be suspended at least for one weak, he added.
The health official confirmed that a total of 22 laboratories are going to be ready for diagnosing Coronavirus until the next week which facilitates more active the process of finding the infected.
On The very same day, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei expressed his sincere gratitude to the Health Minister, his colleagues, doctors, nurses and medical staff in facing and dealing with Coronavirus infection.
