Tehran (IP) - Iranian Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour said on Thursday that Iran shares information of Coronavirus stats with full transparency.

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking in an exclusive interview with Iran Press about the Coronavirus on Thursday 27 February, Iranian Health Ministry Spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour described Iran as a pioneer in establishing a health network and stressed that the cooperation between countries in containing the outbreak of Coronavirus would be a huge help.

The health official then stated that some countries still do not have laboratory equipment to diagnose the virus.

"We announce the latest stats daily; we believe that this approach will raise the public awareness and will help policy-makers to make better decisions," Jahanpour added.

Iran co-chairs the World Health Organization Regional Committee for Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO) until the next year, he said, referring to the willingness of Iran in continuing regional cooperation in the health sector.
