Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking in a press conference on coronavirus outbreak, Kianoush Jahanpour referred to the number of deaths from the coronavirus in Iran, adding, "4 people out of 44 new cases of Coronavirus died and on the whole, the number of those died of Coronavirus reached 19 people and 139 have been tested positive for Coronavirus."
He further noted, "The number of people recovering from the Virus is also increasing. Of those hospitalized at least in Qom, every 24 hours, we witness that about 10 percent of those suspected or confirmed with Coronavirus is being discharged."
"Relative stability has been established. The situation in Gilan, a province in the north of Iran is a little worrying. We urge people to avoid traveling to Gilan and vice versa. We will have an increasing number of patients in the coming days. Today, the decision will be made about public places, schools, universities, recreational and tourism centers, Friday prayers, and other places."
"We do not need international help and we do not demand it, but WHO is providing countries with diagnostic kits. Some of them have been delivered to our country, and the World Health Organization has promised to supply more kits to Iran," Jahanpour added.
Jahanpour further stated, "The rate of spreading the disease in the Middle East is certainly higher than what those countries have said. This will be clear in the future. Trade will prevent them from disclosing their information. No country can close its doors to the entry of Coronavirus, and everyone will somehow get infected in the future."
The virus has now spread to more than 40 other countries around the world. According to the latest statistics, more than 81,000 people have been infected with the virus in the world, of which more than 30,000 have recovered and more than 2,700 died.
