Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Sunday on the sidelines of the parliament open session, Alireza Rahimi said that the US, despite its claim of fighting terrorism, has a dark record in spreading terrorism thought the region, which is not concealed from the regional countries.
Rahimi referred to the US assassination of the Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the Commander of IRGC Quds Force, saying that the US perpetrated the crime out of confusion, darkening more its record in the Middle East.
The lawmaker went on to say the US calculations for carrying out the preemptive measure were turned wrong and resulted in panic for themselves which could be seen in their dispatching mediators to Iran for limiting the country's reaction.
"It is while the tough reaction against the US has become the national demand in Iran," Alireza Rahimi said.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was assassinated along with several senior members of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) on Friday Morning 3 January at Baghdad International airport.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was awarded by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the first Iranian military official to hold Iran’s highest military order, the Order of Zulfaqar after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
