Iran Press/Iran news: People from all walks of life in Tehran took part in a massive million-strong rally held at Tehran Enghelab (Revolution) Square, forthrightly condemning the recent riots, the involvement of foreigners and the destruction of public and private property in recent events in the country.
Following recent rioting and acts of vandalism in various Iranian cities in the past few days, spontaneous demonstrations were held throughout Iran, with the Iranian people showing their disgust and condemnation of senseless acts of rioting.
Major General Hussein Salami, Head of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) delivered a speech and stated, "Today, you are here in the heart of the Islamic world, Tehran, you have fired a coup de grace at American efforts.
"The war that started on our streets was a complete global scenario," the commander said, "Today we are in a major world war and at this moment we are defeating all the arrogant powers.
On the sidelines of this rally, many people in an interview with Iran Press News Agency stressed the right to hold peaceful protests, but at the same time condemned the recent rioting and vandalism which has destroyed public and private property. 205/211
