Iran resumed uranium enrichment activities at the Fordow nuclear facility

IP- Tehran: Atomic Energy Organization of Iran on Thursday announced the resumption of uranium enrichment activities at the Fordow nuclear facility.

Iran Press/Iran news: Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said in a statement that, following an announcement by Iranian President, enrichment operations using centrifuge chains and machines and storage of enriched uranium had begun early on Thursday.

According to AEOI, all uranium enrichment activities at the Fordow nuclear facility have been carried out under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Speaking on Tuesday at the opening ceremony of the Azadi Innovation Factory, which supports startup and knowledge-based companies, President Hassan Rouhani commented on Iran's landmark nuclear deal with world powers, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and said he will shortly give the order for the fourth incremental step to further reduce Iran's commitment to JCPOA.

"We can't unilaterally accept that we completely fulfill our commitments and they don't follow up on their commitments," he said, adding all of the steps Iran has taken so far are reversible and Tehran will uphold all of its obligations under the deal when the remaining signatories do the same.
