Iran will establish an international center for reporters and journalists , according to a senior Iranian official on Friday.

The Director General of Foreign Media Department at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance , Alireza Shiravi, speaking on Friday, said:  "An international center for reporters and journalists will be established in the capital, Tehran to facilitate exchange of news among (foreign ) reporters and correspondents.

Shiravi noted that the international center for reporters will hold training courses for reporters and journalists, and will facilitate their visit to other Iranian provinces.

According to Shiravi, holding news conferences and assisting foreign correspondents with their interviews and preparation of reports,  are some of the other aims of establishing an international center for reporters.

The senior ministry of culture official noted that 160 foreign media outlets from 34 countries have offices in Iran and 306 journalists, cameramen and photographers are working for them.
