Follow virus advice or tougher measures likely, says British PM

The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned that if people continue to ignore social distancing in public spaces and not following guidelines he would have to introduce tougher measures to enforce it.

Iran PressEurope: Britain may need to impose curfews and travel restrictions to halt the spread of the coronavirus if people do not heed the government's advice on social distancing, the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned on Sunday.

"If you don't do it responsibly... we will have to bring forward further measures," he said.

It comes as the number of UK deaths reached 281, including a person aged 18 with an underlying health condition.

They are thought to be the youngest person with the virus to have died in the UK so far.
