Two Turkish police officers were wounded in an attack by unknown individuals on a quarantine checkpoint in Istanbul.

Iran PressAsia: Two Turkish police officers were wounded last night (Saturday night) in a clash with unknown individuals who attacked a quarantine checkpoint in the Beyoglu district of Istanbul to prevent further outbreaks of the corona. 

One of the men, who was injured in a clash with special police forces, was arrested and taken to hospital.

According to the latest figures from the Turkish Ministry of Health, the total number of people infected with the coronavirus in the country has reached 52,167, and the number of victims has risen to 1,101.
