Beijing (IP): Iran's ambassador to Beijing, reacted to Public mourning procession in China held for the victims of COVID-19 and stressed that Iran is always stand by China in the campaign against COVID-19.

Iran PressAsia: The people of China mourned for more than 3,000 people who have lost their lives, as the Chinese memorial day for dead began on Saturday.

On this day, Chinese flags were flown at half-mast across the country and embassies and consulates abroad, and all recreational activities were halted.

 Iran's ambassador to Beijing Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh, wrote in Chinese on his personal Twitter page, "Many countries mourn the victims of the novel coronavirus."

Keshavarzzadeh added that there were signs of public mourning in all parts of China and that all Chinese people were deeply involved in mourning.

"Iran mourns deeply for all those who lost their lives due to the terrible and painful corona disease, and pays respect for their courage and bravery was seen fighting the disease.", the top official noted.

"The war and the public memorial service are among the greatest in the country," said the Iranian ambassador to China, quoting "Zhuo Jawan", a classic Confucian thought. "Only with unity can Corona, this common enemy of mankind, be defeated."

Worldwide, the total number of infections recorded since the beginning of the outbreak reached more than1,201,964. Some 246,638 people have recovered globally while nearly 64,727 have died.
