Zarif: EU should correct its behavior towards Iran

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has met with the European Foreign Policy chief, Josep Borrell, in New Delhi, India, on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue, India’s flagship conference on geopolitics and geo-economics.

Iran PressAsia: In this meeting on Thursday morning, Mohammad Javad Zarif pointed to European countries' failure to honour their JCPOA commitments and Europe's inaction with regards to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).  Zarif also rejected the E3 claims against Iran.

According to Iran Press, in the first meeting with High Representative of the European Union Josep Borrell since his appointment, Iran's Foreign Minister urged the European countries to meet their commitments to the 2015 nuclear deal and correct their mistakes vis-a-vis Iran.

The UK, France, and Germany have officially launched the dispute mechanism in the Iran nuclear agreement. Borrell, however, stressed that Europe will not follow US President Donald Trump's 'maximum pressure' policy against Tehran.
