Iran Press/ Iran news:Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier-General Amir Hatami in a message expressed condolences over the Martyrdom of the commander of the IRGC's Quds Forces Major General Qasem Soleimani and vowed revenge from those behind this horrendous crime.
Undoubtedly, Hatami said in a message, the crime once again firmly disclosed the evil nature of the US and proved its support for terrorists in the region and Iraq.
He said those whose masterminded the terrorist act and those who carried it out will face a crushing response.
He also condoled with Supreme Leader, IRGC family and family of General Soleimani.
Major General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), were killed in US airstrikes in the Iraqi capital Baghdad early on Friday.
On Mar 11, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei awarded the Order of Zulfaqar to Major General Qassem Soleimani.
Major General Qassem Soleimani was the first Iranian military official to receive Iran’s highest military order, the Order of Zulfaqar, after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
