Counselor and head of the press office at Iran Mission to the United, Alireza Miryousefi

The spokesman for Iran's mission to UN Alireza Miryousefi on late Thursday has rejected Western media claims about the brokerage dialogue between Iranian and US representatives.

Iran PressAmerica: The spokesman for Iran's mission to UN Alireza Miryousefi on late Thursday rejected Western media claims about the dialogue between Iran and US representatives.

"Ambassadors to the United Nations (UN) usually talk to each other after meetings. For this reason, the US ambassador went to the Iranian ambassador at the end of the Security Council meeting," Alireza Miryousefi tweeted on late Thursday, referring to the released film that showed the US ambassador to the UN Kelly Knight Craft went to Iran's Ambassador to the UN Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Iran Press reported.

"The US Ambassador to the UN asked about the sick child that Takht-Ravanchi had referred to, and he responded within the context of his lectures," he added.

Iran's Ambassador to the UN Majid Takht-Ravanchi said Thursday at the UN Security Council meeting that US sanctions on Iran threaten access by some Iranians to medicine.

"A 2-year-old girl, Ava, an EB patient, is one of 'butterfly children' who are feeling the pain of the US inhumane sanctions with their hearts and souls. In June this year, Ava was relieved of pain forever and passed away," he said.

He also reiterated that killing children and patients takes no courage.
