Iran Press/ Iran News: "The advantage of this system is that it is so exact and specialized in diagnosing COVID-19. Also, when we have a large number of people in hospitals or we do not have access to a radiologist, this system can help as a doctor. This tool can be used as a remote technique and it is ahead of all other versions of the world. Artificial intelligence has been used in this technique," the head of the Headquarters for the Management of Operations Against Coronavirus Alireza Zali said during the ceremony on Saturday.
He added that the CT scan is one of the most important ways of diagnosing COVID-19 which is also the most exact one.
Zali also thanked all nurses and doctors who are fighting against COVID-19, and the Iranian researchers who helped to make this achievement based on the country’s needs.
During the ceremony, Professor of Artificial Intelligence at Sharif University of Technology Dr. Rabiee stated that diagnosis of the disease is very important.
"What has been proven in the world is that CT scans of the chest are a better way to diagnose COVID-19. In Iran, we formed a group of experienced people, and this teamwork made us able to design a smart system in a month, the accuracy of which is the best in the world, and the number of errors is very low," he said.
