Iran Press/ Iran News: Ehsan Mostafavi, head of the Research Center for Emerging and Reemerging infectious diseases, Pasteur Institute of Iran, said on Monday that there is a two- to threefold potential for coronavirus testing in Iran.
"In the outset of Coronavirus outbreak Iran's diagnostic capacity was about 500 tests per day," Mostafavi added
Expressing that the number of diagnostic laboratories in Iran has reached more than 125 cases, Mostafavi added, "In addition to conducting Corona testing, this laboratory network may have a similar test for other diseases in the future."
The Pasteur Institute of Iran is responsible for the Coronavirus Diagnostic Working Group in the country.
Announcing the country's self-sufficiency in the production of Coronavirus testing kits, the Pasteur Institute of Iran stressed that the Iranian Ministry of Health is ready to export and provide appropriate services to neighboring countries and the region.
