Iran Press/ Iran News: Meeting with Sri Lankan Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Roshan Ranasinghe, on Saturday in Tehran, Iran's Minister of Sports and Youths Hamid Sajjadi said Iran can participate in the development of Sri Lanka's sports in the fields the Sri Lankan officials have in mind, by sending coaches to Sri Lanka, noting that shoring up cooperation between the two countries could contribute to mutual training for local games.
He pointed to women's sports, sports tourism, student exchange, and communication between the Iranian and Sri Lankan NGOs as other areas of cooperation.
The Minister of Sports of Sri Lanka has traveled to Iran to participate in the opening of the Asian Snooker Championship hosted by Tehran.
The Asian Snooker Championship kicked off in Tehran on June 17; The tournament will continue until June 25.
