In a telephone conversation, the foreign ministers of Iran and Sri Lanka discussed ways to develop and expand the relations between the two countries.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a telephone conversation with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabri on Wednesday night, emphasized the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to strengthen and develop bilateral cooperation, referring to the history of friendly relations between Iran and Sri Lanka.

The head of Iran's diplomatic service also emphasized the necessity of operationalizing all parts of the memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation.

In this telephone conversation, Sri Lanka's Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the good and friendly relations between the two countries and appreciated the companionship and cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the people and government of Sri Lanka.

Ali Sabri also emphasized on expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields.
