Tehran (IP) - "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan has warned against the travel of its citizens to Iran! This is the same policy that the president of the fake, child-killing, and occupying Zionist regime took during his recent trip to Baku," the spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs tweeted.

Nasser Kanani added: "The one who should scare the people of Azerbaijan is the Zionist regime, not a civilized and Islamic [country such as] Iran."

"Our policy is still to cancel visas and open our arms to our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters," he said, adding: "Continuation of the neighborhood policy, within the framework of mutual respect and compliance with neighborly manners is our priority."

Earlier, a number of media sources reported about the alleged cancellation of all flights from Azerbaijan to Iran.

However, Heydar Aliyev International Airport denied reports of canceling flights from Baku to Tehran.
