Iran Press/ Europe: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a surprise visit to Paris for talks Sunday night with French President Emmanuel Macron, extending a multi-stop European tour that has elicited fresh pledges of military support as his country gears up for a counteroffensive against Russian occupation forces.
The meeting focused on France's military assistance to Ukraine, in particular, the priority needs of our country to strengthen its defense capabilities and protect Ukrainian skies.
The parties also discussed practical cooperation with the French Republic to strengthen the capacity of Ukraine's defense forces to launch an effective counteroffensive against Russian forces.
They'll also discuss Ukraine's military and humanitarian needs and “the more long term perspectives for a return to peace in Europe," Macron's office said.
The Presidents also discussed cooperation for the effective implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
