Syria (IP) - The new Ambassador of Iran to Syria says the exclusion of dollars from the two countries' trade ties and the establishment of a joint bank are important events in Tehran-Damascus relations.

Iran PressIran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Hossein Akbari said that the formation of joint insurance and banking companies pave the way for investment and an economic surge in the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Syria.

Akbari said the opportunities cause the private sector of Iran to invest in Syria, as the two countries need joint investment.

After 12 years, Iran's President, Ebrahim Raisi, visited Syria and was welcomed by the Syrian people and President Bashar al-Assad. 

There, 15 agreements of economic cooperation were signed between Iran and Syria so that a new chapter is opened in the economic cooperation of the two sides.
