Ardabil (IP) - The touristic complex of Sheikh Safi al-Din Khānegāh and Shrine Ensemble is one of the historical monuments in Ardabil, northwestern Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Ardabil, a city in northwestern Iran, has been selected as the tourism capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization's (ECO) member states.

Ardabil 2023 International Event as an international tourist event also was inaugurated on Thursday. 

The event includes different programs one of which was the nomads' migration festival that was held from April 28 to 30. Holding other festivals and visiting the tourist sites of Ardabil are among the programs of the ECO tourism capital in 2023.

The complex that is considered the peak of architecture and tailing of Iran is the focal point of the tourists' visit to the international event of Ardabil 2023.

The ambassadors of the ECO member states recently visited the Sheikh Safi tourist complex and were astonished by the elegance of the Iranian art and architecture practiced in the complex. 

Due to its cultural and architectural values, Sheikh Safi al-Din Khānegāh and Shrine Ensemble complex was registered in the global heritage list of UNESCO in August 2010.
