Ardabil (IP)- The Museum of Archeology and Handicrafts of Ardabil, northwestern Iran, is part of the historical and cultural, and religious complex of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili and the exhibited works show a part of the civilization of Ardabil province.

Iran Press/Iran News: Historical and cultural objects of the museum show the evolution of the history of Ardabil culture in different historical periods.

Painted pottery of different historical periods, including Ardabil style painted pottery belonging to the Achaemenid and Parthian eras and even related to the first millennium BC, has been displayed in the museum.

Glass and metal objects are other valuable works of Ardabil Archaeological Museum that introduce the art and technique of glassmaking and metalworking in the region.

 These objects date back to the first millennium BC to the Sassanid era and the glorious Islamic period.

May 18 is International Museum Day and is also the start of Iran's annual Cultural Heritage Week.
