Tehran (IP)- Within the week ending on March 31, 2023, the IME witnessed a trade of 2,424,272 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of nearly 474 million USD on its physical market.

Iran PressIran News: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade of 2,010,389 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 235 million USD.

On this floor, the IME sold 1,226,196 tonnes of cement, 410,000 tonnes of iron ore, 264,037 tonnes of steel, 109,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 3,000 tonnes of aluminum, and 250 tonnes of zinc.

Furthermore, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 406,986 tonnes of commodities worth nearly 235 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 104,396 tonnes of bitumen, 97,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 93,254 tonnes of polymeric products, 85,000 tonnes of lube cut, 23,332 tonnes of chemicals, 2,153 tonnes of base oil, 1,180 tonnes of petroleum products, 660 tonnes of sulfur and 200 tonnes of insulation.

The IME also traded within the same week 6,897 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
