Tehran (IP) - In a telephone conversation, the foreign ministers of Iran and Oman exchanged views on the relations between Iran and the European Union and negotiations to remove sanctions.

Iran PressIran news: Iran negotiations on lifting sanctions were held in Vienna on August 4, 2022, and ended on August 8 with the delegations returning to the capitals.

After months of intensive talks in Vienna, the sanctions-lifting negotiations have reached a stage where if the United States, as a party violating the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), accepts Iran's reasonable demands and the requirements for the formation of a stable and reliable agreement, the final agreement will be reached.

According to IRNA, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a telephone conversation with Oman's Foreign Minister, Badr Albusaidi, while congratulating on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, mentioned issues of interest in bilateral relations, including coordination related to the upcoming visit of the Sultan of Oman to Tehran.

In this telephone conversation, Oman's foreign minister also discussed some bilateral and regional issues with the greetings on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan and the ancient feast of Nowruz.

In this conversation, the parties also exchanged views on the Sultan of Oman's visit to Iran, welcoming the relations between Tehran and Riyadh, the relations between Iran and the European Union, and the discussion on lifting sanctions.
