Tehran (IP)- Iranian Foreign Minister has held talks with his Turkish counterpart on the phone and discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.

Iran PressIran news: During the telephone conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said positive interaction with neighbors and regional countries will pave the way for expanding peace and stability in the region and increased synergy in the international arena. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu for his part welcomed the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

He expressed confidence that the deal will result in strengthening the position of the Muslim world and in creating synergy among Islamic countries for the purpose of helping resolve regional issues.

The foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkiye also exchanged views over the trend of expanding bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest between Tehran and Ankara at the regional level. Amir-Abdollahian and Çavuşoğlu also discussed the latest state of ties between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
