Iran Press/ Iran news: In a televised interview aired on Sunday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that if everything on the American side goes well, then the exchange of prisoners will be carried out in the short term.
As the Iranian FM says a document was indirectly and finalized signed between the two sides in the last year's March, but the grounds for the implementation of which were prepared now.
"From our point of view every thing is ready and the American side is carrying out its last coordination," Amir-Abdollahian said, stressing that Iran considers the case a fully humanitarian one.
He referred to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and sanction-lifting talks and noted that the American side lacked the necessary audacity to take the final decision, a message that he has conveyed to the US authorities time and again.
The Iranian FM stressed: "During Rafael Grossi's recent visit to Tehran, good progress was made and with a strong cooperation between the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency being maintained, the result of which will have a good effect on the conclusion of the negotiations."
Iran's international nuclear agreement, known as the JCPOA, was signed between the country and the P5+1 group, including Russia, China, the UK, France, the US, and Germany in 2015, but the US withdrew from the agreement on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.
