Tehran(IP)- A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Environmental Protection Organization and the Atomic Energy Organization on Sunday.

Iran PressIran News: According to Iran Press, Ali Selajgeh, the Honorable Vice President and Head of the Environmental Protection Organization, and Mohammad Eslami, the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization, signed this memorandum.

Mohammad Eslami, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization, emphasized that environmental protection is both individual and social, and compliance with environmental requirements is a great human right.

Eslami also said that based on the Paris summit, it has been decided that the use of carbon in the world will reach zero in the coming years, and this issue and decision at the international level will definitely put pressure on us politically. 

Therefore, it is necessary to move towards the elimination of pollutants and the use of clean energy as quickly as possible.

Ali Selajgeh, the vice president and head of the Environmental Protection Organization, also said: using modern technologies and new energies, including atomic energy, in order to protect the environment is one of the ongoing programs of the organization.

Atomic energy is one of the main uses for peace and promoting the health of humanity and the sustainability of a healthy lifestyle for humans and the environment, and by using the potential of atomic energy, environmental conditions can be improved, he added.

The cooperation agreement between the Environmental Protection Organization and the Atomic Energy Organization was signed by the heads of the Atomic Energy Organization and the Environmental Protection Organization on the subject of Article 50 of the Constitution.

It aims to create and expand suitable fields for joint cooperation and benefiting from nuclear technology in environmental protection.
