Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister said that Tehran is steadfast in diplomacy and negotiation and continues its efforts to conclude negotiations while preserving national interests.

Iran PressIran news: The commemoration ceremony of the Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam was held on Mar. 7, 2023, at the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS), Tehran.

Attending the commemoration ceremony of the Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam, Hossein Amir Abdulahian emphasized: Reaching an agreement in line with the country's national interests is one of the inherent duties that is followed in the Iranian diplomatic system.

Praising Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam's character as the former diplomat, Amir Abdolahian continued: We have clearly alerted the US and West that respecting the red lines, securing national interests and reaching a stable and strong agreement is on Iran's serious agenda and Iran will never leave the negotiating table.

He stated: Today, diplomacy and negotiation are in front of us and we will not fail this inherent duty.

As the other keynote speaker, Iran's former foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki stressed: Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam was a revolutionary diplomat.

Mottaki said when Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam was in the West, he learned Western studies, and when he came to Iran after the revolution, he worked in the area of Western Asia and the Middle East, with great knowledge.
