Tehran (IP) - Iranian start-ups were able to conclude contracts to attract foreign investment at the Tim 2023 technology investment event.

Iran PressIran news: Investors from Group D8 and other world countries attended the two-day TIM2023 startup event on Monday. Speaking to Iran Press on the sidelines of the event, Milad Sadrkhanlou, the secretary of Tim 2023 said the event aims to attract investment for startups.

He added that 15 million dollars worth of technological contracts will be signed at the fifth round of the technology investment meeting. "These contracts are in the fields of information and communication technology, software, medicine, medical equipment, material engineering and advanced materials, cultural and creative industries, industrial and mining equipment, and new energy," Sadrkhanlou said. During the two days, 44 domestic investors and 24 foreign investors participate in this event.

According to the secretary of Tim 2023, 20 groups of foreign investors from Turkey, Malaysia, Russia, Armenia, Algeria, and China are present in this event today.

Also, 90 Iranian startups and 3 foreign startups are present in this event. 2 official delegations from the Malaysian Ministry of Science and the Turkish High Technology Council are also present in this event.

On the sidelines of this event, Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi, Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge Economy told reporters about the development of interactions with neighboring countries and added: "Technology is a good basis for the development of cooperation with the world and the D8 countries." Regarding technology exchange between different countries, he said: "The countries of the region and Iran's neighbors provide the country with the opportunity for technological cooperation."
