Tehran (IP) - According to the Director General of the Music Office of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, various countries invited Iranian singers to perform, and Tajikistan is one of them.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency, Mohammad Allah Yari, said: "83 groups are performing their works at the 38th Fajr Music Festival."

Allah Yari added: "In the international section, eight groups from Hungary, Armenia, Serbia, Portugal, Russia, India, Afghanistan and Tajikistan are present."

Referring to the "Barbad Award" which is a competitive award, he said: "The award, whose subjects have increased from 16 to 21, is given to 21 subjects and stage performances as well."

He noted : "The pop and international sectors are not yet competitive, but they will be competitive from next year."

Referring to the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the festival and his respect to art, he added: "Art is Iran's soft power and whenever ground is provided for the presence of our artists, our message of peace and friendship will be conveyed."

He emphasized: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide the conditions for the presence of foreign artists and send them to various African and European festivals."

He stated : "Ethnic music is also performed with countries with a common culture."

In next year's festival, a higher horizon is expected, and the competition will be more enthusiastic and motivated with new works, including two sections of public votes and judges, he concluded.
