Iran Press/Europe: "There will be no peace without a lasting solution for Gaza, which requires inter-Palestinian reconciliation and the lifting of the Israeli blockade," Edouard Philippe, said in discussion with the Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah.
The premier reiterated France's support for a "two-state solution" with Al-Quds-Jerusalem as a common capital, AFP reported.
He raised concern over the "alarming situation" in the region due to "the acceleration of the Israeli occupation" and confrontations between Palestinians and Israelis near the security fence separating the Gaza Strip from Israel.

Rami Hamdallah for his part reiterated the call for an international conference, with "broad participation including stakeholders", to "get the peace process going again".
In recent weeks, Gaza witnessed the worst flare-up of violence since the 2014 war. The violence broke out when the Israeli military launched an undercover raid against Gaza.
Gaza also has been under a crippling Israeli-imposed siege since 2007 and witnessed three wars since 2008. It has also witnessed a fresh wave of tensions since March 30, which marked the start of “The Great March of Return” protests.
