Iran Press/ America: According to Iran Press; Hossein Amir- Abdollahian, in a meeting with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, emphasized on Friday morning:
"The events of July 2022 show that the weapon of sanctions is not effective and the American side is pursuing its sinister goals by inciting rebellion."
In this meeting, Amir- Abdollahian stressed the importance of relations between the two countries.
The Foreign Minister of Cuba also welcomed the presence of the Iranian delegation in Havana in this meeting and considered this trip as an opportunity to appreciate Iran's supporting Cuba against the all-around economic blockade against this country.
Rodrigues continued to condemn unilateral sanctions against Iran and interference in Iran's affairs.
He also added that Cuba supports the right of all countries to achieve peaceful nuclear energy.
In this meeting, the two sides also discussed bilateral and international issues.
Before this meeting, Amir- Abdollahian had met and talked with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Havana, the capital of Cuba, on Saturday evening and was welcomed by the Director General of International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.
The head of Iran's diplomatic service and the accompanying delegation previously visited Nicaragua and Venezuela and consulted with the officials of these countries about ways to expand relations, especially economic cooperation.
Before that, Amir- Abdollahian had a short trip to Mauritania and met and talked with the president and foreign minister of this African country located in northwest Africa.
