Iran PressAfrica: Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Mauritania's capital city of Nouakchott on Tuesday night and met with his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, discussing the issues of mutual interest, including political, cultural, technological, and economic issues.

Mohammad Salem Ould Marzouk for his part stressed the expansion of Tehran-Nouakchott interactions, considering the relations between the two countries' importance.

Support for the Palestinian cause and people, expansion of cooperation between the Islamic countries, as well as the issues relevant to the coming meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Organization's (OIC) member states' foreign ministers in Nouakchott were among other issues discussed between the two FMs.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has a framework for interaction with the whole world, including Asian and African countries, not just with some special Western countries.

Africa is one of the important opportunities for Iran to have economic cooperation with the Islamic countries on the black continent.
