Foreign Minister arrived in Mauritania's capital city of Nouakchott on Tuesday night and met with Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani.

Iran PressAfrica: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian had left Tehran for the Mauritanian capital city heading a political delegation for bilateral meetings with the African country's officials.

Amir-Abdollahian is scheduled to meet his Mauritanian counterpart, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug.

The Islamic Republic of Mauritania in West Africa gained independence in the year 1960.
