Tehran (IP) - The Speaker of Iran's Parliament left Tehran for Algeria to participate in the 17th meeting of the Interparliamentary Union of the member states of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (IOC).

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf is scheduled to have meetings with the parliament speakers of the OIC member states on the sidelines of the meeting. 

Before his departure to Algeria, he told reporters in Tehran that the pivot of the conference was the challenges ahead of the modernization and development of the Islamic world, especially the issue of Palestine.

Ghalibaf stressed that the conference would be a good opportunity for the Islamic countries to get united and fight the Islamophobic campaign of the Muslims' enemies.
