Sana'a (IP) - On Monday evening, the people of Sana'a condemned the burning of the holy Quran outside the Turkish embassy in Sweden and chanted anti-Israeli slogans.

The Yemeni demonstrators in Sana'a also called for cutting diplomatic ties with Sweden.

They also called for the boycott of the Swedish and European goods.

The Yemeni National Salvation Government's Information Minister, Daifallah Al-Shami, told Iran Press News Agency in Sana'a that Islamic holy books such as the holy Quran have been targeted by the enemies of Islam and the Zionist lobby in Europe, and they deliberately insult the holy Quran.

The Yemeni official emphasized that the enemies know that adherence to the holy Quran is the only solution to the problems of the nations and that the holy book has set the right path for the nations. He described the items mentioned as the reasons behind the desecration of the holy Quran.

Talking to Iran Press on the sidelines of the demonstration condemning the burning of the holy Quran, Taha al-Sefiani, a Yemeni cultural activist said, the message of the large presence of the Yemenis in the demonstration to the West, the Zionists, the Americans, and those who burned the holy Quran is that the Yemenis will not remain silent.
