Political Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran met and talked with the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso Do Tambla during a one-day trip to Ouagadougou.

Iran PressAfrica: In this meeting, Iran's Foreign Minstry Deputy Bagheri Kani, referring to the history of Western colonialism in the African continent, said: "Independence Day in African countries is the day when these countries have been able to free themselves from the captivity of European governments with incomplete human rights."

While welcoming the invitation of his Iranian counterpart, the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso emphasized on the development of bilateral relations.

Referring to Iran's civilizational position, Burkianfaso's PM stated: "Each of the other nations is in some way indebted to this great civilization, and his country welcomes any development of relations with Iran."

Bagheri also discussed issues of common interest in a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso.

In this meeting, the two sides agreed to form a joint commission between the two countries and hold its first meeting soon in Ouagadougou. 219
