Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Minister of Culture stresses the upcoming International Fajr Film Festival will be held on time as usual.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammed-Mahdi Esmaili told reporters on the sidelines of the weekly cabinet session on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, that some foreign-based media tried to ruin the face of the upcoming Fajr Film Festival by circulating rumors about a boycott.

Esmaili said that the tickets for the festival's films are to be sold from the next week.

The minister about seizures of some actors' passports said that the ministry would do its best to solve the problem, noting that support for the Iranian artist is the duty of the ministry. 

Yet, he stated that the personal problems of citizens including actors and cinema activists should proceed with its usual judicial procedure.
