Iran Press/ Iran news: Members of the Islamic Association of Students in Europe met with Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on Monday.
Receiving a group of the members of the Union of Islamic Students Associations in Europe today, January 2, 2023, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed that persistence, consistency, having an influence on one’s environment, and explaining the new idea brought by the Islamic Republic were some of the tasks that the Islamic associations should undertake.
Commemorating Hojatoleslam Dr. Ejei, one of the founders of the Union of Islamic Students Associations in Europe, Ayatollah Khamenei said the associations were formed to pursue the consolidation of the members' beliefs and intellectual bases and influence the surrounding environment, but they had another mission that is to introduce Islamic Revolution's central idea.
He considered the explanation of the Islamic Republic of Iran's principles, including the connection between Republicanism and Islamism, important and noted: the new word of the Islamic Republic is that in the formation of a state the influence of the people is as effective as the religious and faith principals."

Ayatollah Khamenei also stressed the updating of the Islamic associations while preserving the Islamic principles and pointed out: "Some principles and concepts are fixed and permanent, such as justice which has existed since thousands of years ago and does not get old, yet the way justice is practiced may change and be innovated."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to science and scientific progress as the ongoing discourse of the country in recent years and appreciated the scientific gatherings in the current conference of the Islamic Students Associations in Europe and said:
"The issue of scientific progress and transcending the boundaries of science must not be forgotten, and one must not imagine that paying attention to the religious and revolutionary aspects will lead to ignoring scientific progress."
