Baghdad (IP) - The ceremony for the third anniversary of the Martyr Lt General Qassem Soleimani and Martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis was held at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad with a large presence of political and religious figures of Iraq.

Iran PressMiddle East: The ceremony started on Friday evening with the speech of Mohammed Kazem Al Sadegh, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad, and then Ammar Hakim, the head of the Iraqi national wisdom political movement, gave a speech about the character of Martyr Lt General Qassem Soleimani and Martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, the commanders of the resistance.

Iran's ambassador to Baghdad said that martyr Lt Gen Soleimani knew the enemy well with his intelligence and this martyr of resistance will remain a symbol of heroism and patience.

Mohammad Kazem Al Sadegh stated: "When we talk about martyr Soleimani, we should also mention the martyred commander Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, and Iraqi authority has described these two martyrs as heroes of the field of victory."

The ambassador of Iran to Baghdad pointed out that these two heroic martyrs were constantly fighting and commanding battles in the field to defend Iraq against terrorism, and martyr Lt Gen Soleimani and martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis were close friends."

Hundreds of Iraqi Shi'a, Sunni, Kurdish and Christian political figures were present at the special commemoration ceremony of the commanders of resistance and victory at the Iranian embassy in Baghdad and remembered these martyred commanders.

By condemning the US crime in the assassination of the commanders of resistance and victory, they emphasized on the continuation of the path of these two martyred commanders.
