Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Vice President for Science and Technology said the Raisi administration was making efforts to bring knowledge-based companies to the economic arena.

Iran PressIran News: On the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, Rouhollah Dehghani told reporters that the domestic achievements of the knowledge-based companies would be offered to Iran's executive bodies and industrial units.

Out of the $200 million of contracts the industrial units of the country concluded with the knowledge-based companies, $120 million belonged to the Oil Industry, Dehghani said.

According to the Office of the Vice President for Scientific and Technological, in the last eight years, the number of Iranian knowledge-based companies and start-ups has increased from 50 companies to nearly 7,000.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei named the current Iranian year "Production; Knowledge-based and Job-creating," considering the development of knowledge-based companies the best way to create job opportunities.
