Baghdad (IP) - Iraq's Minister of Health said that an agreement was reached with the Iranian side to form a special workgroup of the two countries' experts for shoring up medical cooperation.

 Iran PressMiddle East: The Iranian Minister of Health and his Iraqi counterpart had a meeting in Baghdad on Tuesday, where they announced that the first international branch of the Tehran University of Medical Science would be opened in Karbala. 

Saleh Mahdi al-Hosnawi told reporters in Baghdad that besides academic cooperation, the Iraqi government is going to use Iran's medical experiences in treating incurable patients as well as the fight against drugs in the Islamic Republic." 

"The use of Iranian medical equipment made by the Iraqi Ministry of Health was also one of the other issues raised in the meeting," al-Hosnawi said.
