Tehran (IP) - In a joint operation, Iran's Intelligence Ministry, Police, and the IRGC killed two terrorists involved in the deadly attack in Izeh, Khuzestan Province, and two others were arrested.

Iran PressIran news: In a statement on Tuesday, the IRGC Public Relations Office announced that the operation had been launched earlier in the day, featuring agents hailing from the country's various intelligence agencies, including the IRGC's Intelligence Organization and the Intelligence Ministry.

Accordingly, two of the perpetrators of the deadly attack in Izeh were detained, and the two others were killed during the operation.

Some weaponry and ammunition were also confiscated in the joint operation.

Seven people, including a child and a woman, lost their lives, and 12 more were injured after two gunmen started shooting at people in the center of the city of Izeh in Khuzestan Province on November 16.

The terrorist act came only three weeks after 15 pilgrims, including a woman and two children, were killed and 19 others were injured in a terrorist attack on the Shah Cheragh Holy Shrine in Shiraz city of Fars Province.
